Evan Wechman grew up and resides in New York State. He holds a bachelors degree from the University of Delaware and has always had an exuberance for writing. He is a long time sufferer of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and has constantly fought against negative stigmas attached to the mentally ill.

In 2005, Wechman launched a campaign against the derogatory stereotypes associated with the television show MONK. He had an article published regionally regarding the subject and spoke with different lawmakers to spread the work. He hopes that his novel adds another perspective to the discussion of the disease.
